This is a tour to enjoy the fresh green season. You can enjoy the Aoba Festival, Sakata Festival, Dragon Eye, submerged forest, etc. that are unique to this time of year. This tour also visits Japan's last remote areas, Hotokegaura and Mt. Osorezan. We will also tour Japan's first world natural heritage site, the Shirakami Sanchi. From the hotel we go to Narita Airport train station. We take a Narita express and H5 series Tohoku Shinkansen to Sendai station. Lunch is the best-selling (over 24,000 per day) Ekiben Shumai bento in Japan. After arrive Sendai Station we go to see the Sendai Aoba Festival, is one of Sendai’s three major festivals. We can see sights reminiscent of a picture scroll panorama, including a procession of gallant warriors clad in armour, a children’s parade in which the mikoshi portable shrine of Aoba Shrine that enshrines Date Masamune is carried, 11 gorgeous festival floats drive through the streets, and a large crowd dances the Suzume Odori. From the hotel we go to Zao Kokeshi Museum, is boasts a collection of kokeshi dolls 5,500 strong the largest in Japan. Experience kokeshi doll painting and create your own original kokeshi doll. Then we go to the Mt. Zao to see the Okama, is a crater lake. It is also known as “Goshikinuma” (lake of five colors) for the changes in the colors of the water surface from the intensity of light. Okama is a popular sightseeing spot that is representative of Zao. After lunch we visit The Bunshokan, is a brick building dating from 1916 constructed in the English neo-Renaissance Style and giving them a feel of the good old Taisho days (1912 to 1926). From the hotel we go on a Mogami river boat ride, the fresh green colors leaves are beautiful. After lunch we go to Sakata festival to see Oiran Dochu, is a procession-reenactment of processions done by the oiran, the courtesans in Edo Period. Another highlight is the four giant lions with a length and width of 2 meters and a body of 10 meters are stunning. Furthermore, lionets and adorable baby lions join in with lion families parading through the town.

From Akita station, we ride one of the most beautiful train rides in Japan, the Resort Shirakami train. Travels between Akita Station and Juniko Station (Dep.8:19 Arr.10:25), following the scenic coastline of northern Tohoku. After arriving at the station, head to Shirakami Sanchi, Japan's first world natural heritage site. Here, large area of ​​primeval natural forest, mainly Japanese Beech, have remained in a “pure forest” state. We go to see the Aoike Pond With water so clean that it appears to be a deep cobalt blue, this pond is a wonder for the eyes. Although it is 10-meters deep, visitors can see the fallen trees that scatter the pond’s floor, along with small fish swimming about. Then we short walk through the natural beech forest. From the hotel we go to the Kanita Port to ride Ferry to go Wakinosawa Port. Tsugaru Peninsula to Shimokita Peninsula. After arriving at Wakinosawa Port, we changed boats and headed to Japan's last unexplored area, Hotokegaura. Nearly 20 million years ago, deep sea volcanic activity created a precipice of green volcanic tuff around the current village of Sai in the Shimokita peninsula. After lunch we go to Mt. Osorezan, is ranked along with Koyasan and Hieizan as one of Japan's three most sacred places. It was discovered over 1000 years ago by a Buddhist priest in search of a sacred mountain that resembles the world of Buddha. From the hotel we go to see the Dragon Eye, is a mysterious sight caused by a natural phenomenon of Kagami-Numa Lake, located near the summit of Mt. Hachimantai from late May to early June. The snow falls and piles up over the lake during winter. When the spring comes and it starts to thaw, the snow in the middle creates a ring. Then the sunlight and the color of the sky shines on it, creating the Dragon Eye. Then we go to the lake Shuusen to see a submerged forest. This is a scenery that can only be enjoyed during this period from May to mid-June. Next, we go to see Akita dogs and have lunch. After lunch we visit Morioka Handcrafts Village, a group of first-class craftsmen continues to create authentic products. From the hotel we go to Morioka station. We take a H5 series Tohoku Shinkansen to Tokyo station After arriving at Tokyo station, we visit Tokyo Station Gallery. Since establishment, has become known as an art museum with unique exhibitions and brick wall that embody the history of Tokyo Station. After that, we have free time. We can go to Ramen StreetOkashi LandCharacter Street, Daimaru, and more in Tokyo station. If you are not interested in shopping, we recommend taking a walk to the Imperial Palace.
