From the hotel we go to Narita Airport train station. We take a Narita express and H5 series Tohoku Shinkansen to Sendai station. Lunch is the best-selling (over 24,000 per day) Ekiben Shumai bento in Japan. After arrive at Sendai station we go to Matsushima. We take a sightseeing boat cruise through the islets in the bay of famous Matsushima, one of three Japan’s best view places. Then we go to the hotel.

ROUTE INN

From the hotel we visit the Kinoya canning factory. Although the factory was damaged by the March.11.2011 tsunami, it was rebuilt as a symbol of recovery. It is famous for canned mackerel. Then we visit Ishinomori Manga Museum, dedicated to the work of Ishinomori Shotaro, creater of popular series such as Kamen Rider, Kikaider, etc. After lunch we visit the Miracle Pine, a symbol of reconstruction and the Iwate Tsunami Memorial, it is a museum about the 2011 tsunami. Next go to see the Kamaishi Daikannon, a white statue depicting Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. From the hotel we visit Yamada Bay Observation Square. We can overlook Yamada Bay and there is a door inspired by smash hit film 'Suzume'. Then we go to Jodogahama Beach, it is one of the most famous places of scenic beauty on the Rikuchu Coast. The vivid contrast of the sharp, white rocks, green pines, and deep blue sea has been compared to the Pure Land or Paradise by a Buddhist monk named Reikyo, hence the name “Jodogahama.” After lunch we visit the Ryusendo Cave, it is one of the Three Great Limestone Caves in Japan and a national natural monument. In the cave, fresh spring water forms deep underground lakes. The lakes are illuminated, making the water appear a vivid and ethereal blue. Next go to Kabushima. There are 30,000 to 40,000 of the black-tailed seagulls, and the island is covered with them. Kabushima Shrine, which sits at the top of the island, is worshiped for its blessings of increasing popularity ‘stock’ and assets. Then we go to the hotel.

Before breakfast we go to Tatehana Wharf Morning Market, it is an extra-large morning market in Japan. A stunning sight to see the market filled with around 300 stalls and tens of thousands of customers. It is also called the town that haunts on Sunday morning. After return to hotel and have your breakfast. Then we go to see Sakura Yabusame Festival. Yabusame is a traditional Japanese martial art of horseback archery. Archers shoot arrows toward the target while riding a horse running at full speed. Yabusame events are held throughout Japan, and most of them are religious rituals that allow only men to participate. Therefore, this female-contestant-only Sakura Yabusame is very special. *We may not be able to see the event as the opening date changes depending on the blooming status of the cherry blossoms. Next visit the Hotate Hiroba (scallop Square). Specializing in scallops, fresh seafood from Mutsu Bay, and a variety of sea products and farm produce are sold here. Lunch is scallop cuisine. From the hotel we go to Hirosaki Sakura Festival. It is Japan’s one of three best sakura viewing spots with many varieties of cherry trees. Lunch is Kiritanpo, a local dish of Akita pref. After lunch we drive along the Hachimantai Aspite Line, it is a long mountain sightseeing road that runs through Towada-Hachimantai National Park. You can see the high walls of hardened snow on both sides of the road. Next go to see the Ishiwari Sakura, is approximately 380-year-old. This magnificent tree, which is a national natural monument, has grown out of the crack in a large granite boulder; its dynamic appearance makes it one of the most beloved cherry trees in Japan. From the hotel we go to the Kakunodate Sakura festival. We can see many shidarezakura (weeping cherry trees) at Bukeyashiki Street. Then we go to Sashimaki marshland to see the Mizubasho (called the skunk cabbage flower) and also see the Katakuri no hana (dogtooth violet flower) near Lake Tazawa. It was used as starch in the old days. After lunch we visit Morioka Handcrafts Village, you can see various handcrafts of Morioka and experience making Nanbu Senbei. Then we go to the hotel.

From Morioka station we ride the E5 series shinkansen and go to Mizusawa Esashi Station. People call this station Otani Shohei Station. We can see a display of a signed baseball, his uniform from when he played in Japan, and all sorts of other memorabilia at the station in the town where Shohei Otani grew up. We visit Oshu City Traditional Industrial Hall. We can see the handshake statue of Mr. Otani and the Nambu ironware of the local industry. After that, we take the Shinkansen to Utsunomiya Station. Lunch is Iwate Beef Ekiben. Pulling the string attached to the side of the Ekiben, it heats the contents. After arriving at Utsunomiya Station, we go to the Great Wisteria Festival in Ashikaga Flower Park. A must-see is the park’s magnificent 150-year-old wisteria tree, it has a canopy covering about 1,000sqm and features a jaw-dropping 80,000 individual purple blossoms. And the azalea flowers are also blooming at the time. Then we go to the hotel.

From the hotel we go to Hitachi Seaside Park, where you can see the main Nemophila (blue ground-covered flower). (It is one of 31 Japan’s most beautiful places selected by CNN). Next go to Narita Aeon Mall for shopping & eating. Then we go to Narita airport for your departure to Honolulu.
