From the hotel visit Okazaki castle, birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1542. Next visit Hatcho Miso factory and take a tour, you can also see a old stone well where it is said that Toyotomi Hideyoshi as a youngster played and hid in it. Then go to Shobata station where you can see the statue of Oda Nobunaga and his wife, and of the Shobata castle ruins & birthplace of Oda Nobunaga in 1534. Next go to hotel. At night go to see Ukai, a traditional fishing method also called Cormorant fishing.

From the hotel go to see Akechi castle ruins, a historic site in Kani city. There are various theories as to where Akechi Mitsuhide in 1528 was born, but this is one of them. Don't really know about Akechi before he sided with Oda Nobunaga. Next visit Kani City Tourism Exchange Center, you can experience putting on the samurai armor. Then visit Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum, from 700 years ago a well-known sword, blade-producing area in the world. You can see videos and displays of famous swords. Next ride a ropeway up Mt.Kinka to visit Gifu castle, it was Saito Dosan's castle who was the father of Nobunaga's wife, No Hime. But later Nobunaga also occupied this castle. Mitsuhide served the Saito family before siding with Nobunaga. Then visit the 2020 taiga drama museum, “Kirin ga Kuru" revolves around the life of Akechi Mitsuhide, NHK's 59th taiga series.

From the hotel go to see the monument statue of Asai Nagamasa and his wife, Lady Oichi. Later Asai is killed by Nobunaga for betraying. Oichi was Nobunaga's younger sister, she had 3 daughters (just 2 are mentioned) - Goh Hime who married Ieyasu's son & between them they had a daughter - Sen hime, and Cha Cha hime who married Hideyoshi and mother of Hideyori, later Hideyori married Sen hime. Next visit Nobunaga's Yakata Museum, constructed Azuchi castle in 1579, said to be the first high-rise wooden constructed castle, you can see the reproduction of the 5th and 6th floors, and about Christianity. Then go to see Azuchi castle ruins, was one of the primary castles of Nobunaga. He intentionally built it close to Kyoto that he could watch and guard the approaches to the capital. From the hotel go to Biwako Terrace where there is outdoor seating, you can see great views of Lake Biwa and it's surrounding areas. Next visit Enryaku-ji temple, a monastery located on Mt.Hiei in Otsu, in 1571 Nobunaga forces attacked and set fire to this temple. After Enryaku-ji was burnt down another new temple was built and named Saikyo-ji temple, a Tendai Buddhist monastery and the Akechi family and wife Hiroko's tomb remains at this temple. From the hotel go to Iga-ryu Ninja Museum, in 1582 during the Honnoji Incident “Honnoji-no-Hen" Ieyasu was in Sakai and on his way to Shizuoka the Iga ninjas helped him. Next visit a Miyazu church, see the statue of Hosokawa Garasha (Gracia) - Christian name and also known as Hosokawa Tama, daughter of Akechi Mitsuhide, wife of Hosokawa Tadaoki, and a Christian convert. Their son later became Kumamoto's lord and Miyamoto Musashi became his retainer. Next visit Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three best scenic views. It is also where Mitsuhide and Garasha had their last tea gathering. Then go to Fukuchiyama, in 1576 Mitsuhide built and named the Fukuchiyama castle. Then go to hotel.

From the hotel go to Kameoka station, riding the torokko train (truck train) as you can see Hozugawa river where Akechi used to go fishing, then go to see Mt. Atago the tallest mountain in Kyoto. The path to the mountain is called Akechi Crossing where he walked before he instigated the Incident of Honnoji. Next go to Honnoji temple ruins, it was excavated at the former site, this is also the place where Nobunaga died. Then visit Honnoji temple in Kyoto, belongs to the Nichiren sect. Within the grounds is a memorial to Oda Nobunaga. Next go to hotel.

From the hotel go to Kyoto station, catch the shinkansen to go to Okayama station. Visit Bitchu Takamatsu castle, today it is a city of Okayama. During the Incident of Honnoji “Honnoji-no-Hen" Toyotomi Hideyoshi battled with the Mori clan at this Bitchu Takamatsu castle but later reconciled and returned to Kyoto in 10 days. From the hotel go to Okayama station, catch the shinkansen to go to Kyoto station. visit a Local History Museum in Oyamazaki, learn about the famous land Battle of Yamazaki between Mitsuhide and Hideyoshi. Mitsuhide had about 16,000 mens, Hideyoshi had about 40,000 mens and so Hideyoshi defeated Mitsuhide. Next visit Shoryuji castle, it was used as a base by Mitsuhide during the Battle of Yamazaki and he spent his last night there after losing the battle. Then see Akechi-Yabu, a bamboo grove that was once a riverbank used to protect the town from floods, and is where Mitsuhide was killed while escaping from the Battle of Yamazaki. From the hotel visit Osaka castle, originally built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi by then he was a top general and ruled most parts of Japan. In 1598 when Hideyoshi died, his son Hideyori and the Tokugawa's fought, the Tokugawa's won and that's when Tokugawa Ieyasu succeeded as the most powerful man of Japan. The Edo period or Tokugawa period is between 1603 and 1868, longest over 250 years the Tokugawa family ruled Japan. Next go to Sakai Plaza of Rikyu, it introduces tea master Sen no Rikyu of the 16th century. You can try the green tea served there. Then go to Aeon Mall for last minute shopping before going to Kansai airport for your departure flight.
